Hi, all. Recent events have me concerned about many things, but if I’m being selfish for a moment, among that list of topics is how the potential loss of Twitter might inhibit my ability to share the writing, podcasts and other media that got people to follow me in the first place. Without a solid plan in mind, I decided to launch a newsletter while most of us still are on Twitter, with the promise that it will be something in the future, something not terribly frequent, and something that will feature some combination of original writing and links to where I’ve made stuff elsewhere. Do subscribe if this is something you feel you may want in your inbox someday. As it stands now, it costs nothing and you will not get much in your inbox as a result. It’s win-win, really.

For the record, I am also concerned about how the loss of stability in the world would also inhibit my ability to share stuff, but there is less that I can do about that specific problem.

If you are specifically someone who followed me on Twitter to see pictures of me not wearing a shirt, I am not sure that will be part of this new venture, but then again I didn’t get on Twitter back in 2007 with the intention of crowding the other Drew Mackies of the world out of Google image search, but here we are.
